I have been practicing vinyasa in conjunction with running for a few years now as my daily exercise/mind cleansing routine. I recently have had to come to terms with the fact that my joints don’t agree with how many miles a week I would like to log hitting the pavement. I needed to find something different that my body and I could agree on. My dad took me to my first Bikram class at Bikram Yoga Livermore in the spring of 2016 and I was floored. Aside from my initial love/hate relationship with the heat, I quickly realized that the way I felt after that 90 minutes was intoxicating. I wanted more. I branched out yet again a few weeks later and took my first Inferno Hot Pilates class. I was blown away. The low impact was perfect for my finicky knees and the high intensity intervals were just what I needed to fill the gap that running less frequently had created. IHP not only is a great workout, but it truly has a way of making a person feel empowered. The vibe is exuberant and one can leave the heated room dripping sweat and feeling invincible. I wanted to share that with as many people as possible, so I attended the next IHP instructor training that I could and now here I am; giving the experience to others that made me fall in love with the practice.
